Visit of the External Evaluation Committee for the Accreditation of the Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Business Administration at the University of West Attica

We inform you that the scheduled on-site visit of the External Evaluation Committee for the Accreditation of the Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Business Administration at the University of West Attica was successfully completed during the week of 26/09 to 30/09/2022.

The visit took place on 26 and 27 September 2022 and included meetings between the Committee of External Experts and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Welfare and President of the Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP), Professor Efstathia Papageorgiou, the members of the University’s Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP), the Chair of the Department of Business Administration, Professor Apostolos Giovanis, the Internal Evaluation and Quality Assurance Team (OMEA) of the department, and faculty members. Also present at the meetings was the Rector of the University of West Attica, Mr Panagiotis Kaldis. In attendance were also members of the Special Technical and Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP, ETEP), the department’s administrative staff, student representatives, as well as collaborators from public and private sector bodies.

The accreditation process ensures that the study programme offered by the Department of Business Administration fully complies with the formal specifications outlined by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) and European guidelines. It also ensures that the learning outcomes, knowledge, skills, and competences of the graduates correspond entirely to the expectations of the academic community, society, and the labour market, both scientifically and professionally.

The purpose of the accreditation process for the Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Business Administration is to ensure the provision of high-quality education and the effective functioning of the department, the continuous improvement of its educational and research activities, and the optimal delivery of its services, in accordance with international standards and practices.
