Short Bio: Dr Dimitris Kouis received his Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras and his PhD from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 1994 and 2004 respectively. He was the technical coordinator for various projects for the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link, from 2004 up to 2016. Currently, he is an assistant professor at the Archival, Library and Information Studies Department of the University of West Attica of Athens, Greece. He is also the Director of Information Management Research Lab. He has been involved in several European and national R&D projects in the fields of information technology (ESPRIT, RACE II, ACTS, IST, FP6, FP7, H2020).
Research interests: library information systems and networks, digital content management, digital repositories, scholarly communication, academic publishing, e-textbook creation, research data management, FAIR principles application to academic institutes, meta-data modelling, search techniques, IT middleware platforms
