Giannis Kordatos
PhD CandidateIoannis Kordatos holds a MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Thessaly (UTH) with specialization in Energy & Environmental Technologies. He was qualified for a full 5 years scholarship during his tenure from State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) and he ranked 4th from the 13 candidates of many that were selected, after examination in Physics and Essay. After obtaining his MEng degree he continued his studies at National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) were he received his Master of Science degree in Automation Systems with focus on Machine learning and Data science. In both of his thesis, he worked with neural networks and different machine learning techniques (timeseries forecasting, regression, multiclass classification, clustering, synthetic data generation) in real-world and benchmark datasets from diverse scientific domains. From 2021 he is a PhD Candidate of in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of West Attica (UNIWA) in the fields of Computational intelligence and Machine Learning. In his current research, emphasis is given to Radial Basis Function Networks for modelling dynamic non-linear complex systems.
