Christos Troussas

Assistant Professor

Short Bio

Dr. Christos Troussas is Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering at the University of West Attica. He received a PhD in Informatics, an MSc with specialization in “Intelligent Technologies of Human–Computer Interaction”, and a BSc in Informatics from the University of Piraeus. He has been actively participating in national and international research projects.

He serves as Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning (IGI Global). He has served on editorial boards of international journals and as Program Committee chair or member for various international conferences. He has published extensively in international journals, books, and conference proceedings and is co-author of four monographs in personalized software engineering, artificial intelligence and augmented reality (Springer, IOS Press). His work has received thousands of citations and best paper awards in international computer science conferences.

His research interests focus on personalized software technologies, human–computer interaction, and human-centered as well as applied artificial intelligence. He has been ranked among the world’s top 2% of scientists (subfield: Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing), according to the Stanford University ranking, in each year from 2020 to 2024.
